BOARDS & COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS: (NONE) EXPLANATION OF COUNCIL ACTION: For administrative convenience, certain of the agenda items are listed as motions, resolutions, or ordinances. If deemed appropdate, the City Council will use a different method of adoption from the one listed; may finally pass an ordinance by adopting it as an emergency measure rather than a two reading ordinance; or may modify the action specified. A motion to reconsider may be made at this meeting of a vote at the last regular, or a subsequent special meeting; such agendas are incorporated herein for reconsideration and action on any reconsidered item. Notice to the Public The following items are of a routine or administrative nature. The Council has been furnished with background and support material on each item, and/or it has been discussed at a previous meeting. All items will be acted upon by one vote without being discussed separately unless requested by a Council Member or a citizen, in which event the item or items will immediately be withdrawn for individual consideration in its normal sequence aflerthe items not requiring separate discussion have been acted upon. The remaining items will be adopted by one vote. CONSENT MOTIONS, RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES AND ORDINANCES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS: (At this point the Council will vote on all motions, resolutions and ordinances not removed for individual consideration) Motion approving the repair of a frontloader tractor and the purchase of a five year full maintenance agreement from Holt Company of Texas, Corpus Christi, Texas in accordance with Bid Invitation No. BI-0046-02, based on only bid, for a total amount $296,999.60. The frontloader is to be used by Solid Waste Department. Funds have been budgeted by Solid Waste in FY 2001-2002. (Attachment # 2) CITY COUNCIL PRIORITY ISSUES (Refer to legend at the end of the agenda summary) 2002-07 Agenda Regular Council Meeting March 5,2002 Page 3 Motion approving a supply agreement for black and galvanized pipe fittings in accordance with Bid Invitation BI-0032-02 with J.M. Supply Company, Corpus Christi, Texas based on Iow bid meeting specifications for an estimated annual amount of $31,702.28. The fittings will be stocked by the Warehouse and distributed to the Gas and Water Departments. The term of the contract is for twelve months with options to extend for up to two additional twelve-month pedods, subject to the approval of the supplier and the City Manager or his designee. Funds have been budgeted bythe using departments in FY2001-2002. (Attachment # 3) Second Reading Ordinance -Amending Section 55-147 (a) of the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, regarding affirmative defenses for discharges in violation of industrial wastewater pretreatment standards and providing for penalties. (First Reading-2/26/02) (Attachment # 4) Second Reading Ordinance - Waiving the 60-day waiting period and publication of legal notice; renaming the park at 15601 Gypsy Street on Padre Island from Gypsy Park to the "Don and Sandy Billish Park."
