AN ORDINANCE
RECEIVING IN AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS, A TERRITORY OF 34.127 ACRES, MORE
OR LESS, BEING THE SOUTHWESTERNMOST 3.127 ACRES
OF LOTS 30, 31 AND 32, SECTION 13, FLOUR BLUFF AND
ENCINAL FARM & GARDEN TRACTS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS SHOWN BY MAP OR PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN VOLUME
"A ", PAGES 41 743, MAP, RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS,.AND ALSO KNOWN AS GLEN ARBOR SUBDIVISION,
FIRST SECTION, AS SHOWN BY MAP AND PLAT THEREOF
IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS, OWNED IN FEE BY TED M. ANDERSON, TRUSTEE;
FULLY DESCRIBING THE SAME AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,_ TEXAS AND DECLARING THE
SAME A PART THEREOF, AND SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS,
RULES, REGULATIONS, ORDINANCES AND CHARTER OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AT LEAST ONE TIME IN
A NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI

WHEREAS, THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, DID ON NOVEMBER
25, 1959, AUTHORIZE AN ANNEXATION AGREEMENT BY TED M. ANDERSON, TRUSTEE,
THE OWNER IN FEE SIMPLE OF THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY, AGREEING
TO ANNEX AND INCORPORATE SAID TERRITORY INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI; AND
WHEREAS, THE SAID AGREEMENT TO ANNEX PROVIDED FOR THE ANNEXATION
AND INCORPORATION INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
OF THE MOST SOUTHWESTERLY 34.127 ACRES, OF LOTS 30, 31 AND 32, SECTION 13,
FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
SHOWN BY MAP OR PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN VOLUME "A ", PAGES 41 -43, MAP
RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AND ALSO KNOWN AS GLEN ARBOR SUBDIVISION,
FIRST SECTION, AS SHOWN BY MAP AND PLAT THEREOF IN THE OFFICE OF THE
COUNTY RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS; AND
WHEREAS, THE ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION HAS RECOMMENDED THE
SAID ANNEXATION, AND THERE ARE NO RESIDENT VOTERS IN THE SAID TERRITORY,
AND THE SAID TERRITORY IS ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; AND
WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI DEEMS
IT IN THE PRESENT INTEREST OF THE CITY THAT THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROPERTY
BE ADMITTED TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THERE IS HEREBY ANNEXED INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS, THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TERRITORY, TO -WIT:
THE MOST SOUTHWESTERLY 34.127 ACRES, OF LOTS 30, 31
AND 32, SECTION 13, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND
GARDEN TRACTS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AS SHOWN BY MAP
OR PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN VOLUME "A ", PAGES 41 -1:3,
MAP RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS,,AND ALSO KNOWN AS
GLEN ARBOR SUBDIVISION, FIRST SECTION, AS SHOWN BY MAP
AND PLAT THEREOF IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDS
OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND THE SAME IS HEREBY ADMITTED INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AS AN
INTEGRAL PART THEREOF, SAID TERRITORY TO BE HEREINAFTER A PART OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SUBJECT TO THE GENERAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS,
THE CITY CHARTER, AND THE ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, MOTIONS AND REGULATIONS
OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SAID DESCRIBED TERRITORY SHALL
HEREINAFTER BEAR ITS PROPORTIONATE SHARE OF THE TAXES LEVIED BY THE CITY
AND THE INHABITANTS OF SUCH TERRITORY SHALL HAVE THE PRIVILEGES AND BE
SUBJECT TO ALL THE DUTIES OF OTHER INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS.
SECTION 2. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE PUBLISHED IN A NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHED IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AT LEAST ONE TIME BEFORE FINAL
PASSAGE.
