HomeMy WebLinkAbout05661 ORD - 02/03/1960AN .ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, PASSED AMID APPROVED BY TBE CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 10, 1954, ENTITLED "AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULA- TIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD.OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI BY ADDING ARTICLE %% PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR ALL OFFICES AND POSITIONS. IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE", BY AMENDING SECTION 4, ARTICLE 20, AS AMENDED, BY RECLASSIFYING THE POSITION OF ZONING COORDINATOR FROM GRADE 22 TO GRADE 25; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TESAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4, Article %B of Ordinance No. 3658, passed and approved by the City Council on the 10th day of February,1954, entitled, "Amending the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Board of the City of Corpus Christi: by adding Article SB Providing for the Adoption and Administration of the Position Classification Plan for all Offices and Positions in the Classified Service" be and the same is hereby amended to hereafter read as follows: Class Title Class Grade Zoning Coordinator 25 SECTION 2. That the necessity to adequately compensate the Zoning Coordinator by reason of assignment of more difficult and respon- sible duties creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter Rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, This the �! day of February, 1960.
