4v JKH:2 -10 -60 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LAS PALMAS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A -INCH WATER LINE TO SERVE THE LAS PALMAS SUBDIVISION AND POTENTIAL AREAS ADJACENT THERETO; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LAS PALMAS DEVELOPMENT CORPO- RATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A 12 -INCH WATER LINE TO SERVE THE LAS PALMAS SUBDIVISION AND POTENTfAL AREAS ADJACENT THERETO, A COPY OF WHICH AGREE - MEIZ IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 HEREINABOVE SO AS TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE MATER SUPPLY TO THE SAID SUBDIVISION AND POTENTIAL AREAS ADJACENT THERETO CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE'OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDNANCE OR RESO- LUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE SAID CHARTER RULE ANDIRAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCOR13VGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THI3� DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1960.
