AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING $2,967.91 OUT
OF GENERAL FUND, HEREINAFTER APPROPRIATED FOR
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CURRENT PARK AND
RECREATION DEP_ARTMENT.BUDGET, SAID FUNDS FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF -THE CITY'S PORTION FOR PAVING
AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS ADJACENT TO THE PARK SET
ASIDE IN SOUTH BAY ADDITION, ACCEPTING PERPETUAL
DEDICATION OF SAID AREA AS PARK AREA; AND DE -„
GLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS.
SECTION 1. THE SUM OF $2967. 91 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE CITY'S PLATTING ORDINANCES SAID FUNDS
BEING APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN
THE CURRENT PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT BUDGET, SAID FUNDS FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF THE CITY'S PORTION FOR PAVING AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ADJACENT TO THE PARK SET ASIDE IN SOUTH BAY ADDITION.
SECTION 2. THE CITY HEREBY ACCEPTS THE PERMANENT DEDICATION
OF THE AREA SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF SOUTH BAY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI AS A PUBLIC PARK.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY FOR PROMPT ACTION IN THE MATTER
OF ACCEPTING DEDICATION OF SAID PARK CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN
IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE
THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF
ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT
THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCILS AND THE MAYORS HAVING DECLARED
SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXISTS HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF
SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE
OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL
FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGES IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE
SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
1, THEREFORE HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIRE-
MENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED OR AT THE
PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
