REPAID UPON THE SALE OF BONDS AUTHORIZED ON 8- 29 -59;
APPROPRIATING THESUM OF $15,000.00_ FROM THE HOSPITAL

OF TRUSTEES OF

'RESENTING THE CITY'S SHARE_ AND THE PAYMENT OF $7,500.00
REPRESENTING AN ADVANCE OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S
SHARE OF A TOTAL,OF.$15,000.00 FOR THE SERVICES OF
JOHN G. SNIPE AND ASSOCIATES, HOSPITAL CONSUL ANTS;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE I M,_OF $15,000.00
FROM THE GENERAL FUND ND. 102 FROM FUNDS HERETOFORE UNAPPROPRIATED AS AN
ADVANCE TO THE HOSPITAL BOND FUND N0. 214, TO BE REPAID UPON THE SALE
OF BONDS AUTHORIZED ON AUGUST 29, 1959, SAID SUM TO BE PAID TO JOHN G.

STEINLE AND ASSOCIATES, HOSPITAL CONSULTANTS, WHICH SUM REPRESENTS THE
CITY'S SHARE OF $7,500.00 AND AN ADVANCE OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S SHARE
of $7,500.00.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY FOR IMMEDIATELY MAKING AVAILABLE THE
FUNDS NECESSARY FOR PROCURING THE SERVICES OF SAID CONSULTANTS CREATES
A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUS-
PENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE
PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING
REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE
PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE
EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS
ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS T DAY OF MARCH, 1960.

SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE.CITT COUNCIL;
I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIRE-
MENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE
PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
