RUNWAY 13-31 AT T51 NEW - CORPUS CHRISTI MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.; APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $42,131..10 OUT OF AIRPORT BOND FUND N0. 245 TO COVER Tf COST THEREOF, OF SAID SUM $38,301.00 IS FOR CONSTRUCTION, PROJECT NO. 245- 56 -5.1, $1,244.78 IS FOR_ENGIMEERING DESIGN,, PROJECT NO. 245- 56 -5.3, $ 0.27 1S FOR ENGINEERING SUPERVISION, PROJECT N0. 24545 -56-67 5. , an $1,915.05 IS FOR DETAILED INSPECTION AND LAB CONTROL,-.PROJECT N0. 245- 56 -5.5; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, to execute a Supplemental Agreement with Heldenfels Brothers, which agreement supplements that certain agreement entered into by and between the City of Corpus Christi and the said Heldenfels Brothers on the 26th day of June, 1958, which covered the construction of the runways, taxiwaays and drainage at the new Corpus Christi Municipal Airport, by adding to said agreement the construction of a Run -Up Pad at the north- west end of the northwest southeast runway, Runway 13 -31, a copy of said Supplemental Agreement being attached hereto and made a part hereof as if copied verbatin herein. SECTION 2. The sum of $42,131.10 is hereby appropriated out of Airport Bond Fund No. 245 to cover the cost of the Supplemental Agreement and the engineering, inspection and lab control as follows: $38,301.00 is appropriated to cover the construction cost of the Run -Up Pad, Project No. 245- 56 -5.1; $1,244.78 is appropriated for engineering design, Project No. 245- 56 -5.3; $670.27 is appropriated for engineering supervision, Project•No. 245- 56 -5.4; and $1,915.05 is appropriated for detailed inspection and lab control, Project No. 245- 56 -5.5. 5746 SECTION 3. The total consideration which shall be due and owing from the City to Heldenfels Brothers for the construction of the Run-Up Pad at the new Corpus Christi Municipal Airport, as set out in the Supplemental Agreement; shall not exceed $38,301.00. SECTION 4. The necessity of beginning construction immediately of the Run-Up Pad at the new Corpus Christi Municipal Airport so that construction may be completed as scheduled creates a public emergency, and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having de- clared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter Rule and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that this Ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, this the jday of i , 1960.
