AND 3.'CHILES SUBDIVISION, ACCORDING TO MAP RECORDED IN VOLUME 18, PAGE 25 OF THE N[TECES COUNTY MAP RECORDS, AMID SUBJECT TO DEED RESTRICTION FILED AT VOLUME 887, PAGES 445 -k46, NUECES COUNTY DEED RECORD, FROM "R-1° ONE FPZ=Y DWELLING DISTRICT TO 10B -1, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT; PIPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE AS P1MENDED; REPEALING ALL ORDrWCES IN C014F'LICT IKREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EM MONCY. 41IMVM, the Zoning and Planning Comnission.has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning certain applications for amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas; and I-RIE TEAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi., in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on April 139 19609 at Regular Council Meeting of the City Council in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and TnTHERE.AS9 by motion duly made, seconded, and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amend- ment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience, and the general welfare of the City and its citizens: NOW, TMWGRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, ^Texas, passed on the 27th day of August, 1937, appearing of record in Volume 99 Pages 565 et seq of the Ordinance and Resolution Records, as amended from time to time, and in particular as amended by Ordinance No. 2266, passed and approved by the City Council on the 4th 5758 day of 11ay, 19489 appearing of record in Volume 16, Pages X39 et seq of said Ordinance and Resolution Records, and as amended by Ordinance No. 4M, adopted on the 21st day of August, 19579 appearing of record in Volume 26, Pages 385 et seq of the Ordinance and Resolution Records, be and the same is hereby amended by making the changes hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Chiles Sub- division, according to map recorded in Volume 18, Page 25 of the Nueces County Nap Records, and subject to Deed restriction filed at Volume 887, Pages 445 -4166, Nueces County Deed Records, is hereby rezoned from nR-1" One Family Dwelling District to 'B -10 Neighborhood Business District. SECTION 3. That the official Zoning Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of n Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time and particularly as amended on the 21st day of August, 1957, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That the necessity of immediately making aforesaid change for the purpose of maintaining at all times a comprehensive zoning ordinance for the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the said Charter Rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, this / '/ day 1960.
