BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A CHANGE ORDER TO THE BRASELTON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CONTRACT IN CONNECTION WITH TH� CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, BEING CHANGE ORDER NO. 25, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. THIS AUTHORIZATION AND DIRECTION TO THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AFORE- SAID CHANGE ORDER IS SUBJECT TO PARTICIPATION BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY BY CONTRIBUTING ONE -HALF OF THE COST OF SAID CHANGE ORDER. SECTION 2. THE AMOUNT OF $8,210.00 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF AIRPORT BOND FUND N0. 245 FOR PROJECT NO. 245- 56 -6.1 TO COVER THE COST OF SAID CHANGE ORDER. SECTION 3. THE IMMEDIATE NECESSITY TO ACCOMPLISH THE NECESSARY CHANGES AS CONTEMPLATED BY THE AFORESAID CHANGE ORDER SO THAT THE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MAY BE INSTALLED AT THE NEW AIRPORT SO THAT THE PROJECT MAY BE COMPLETED, CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL i BE READ, AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUS /PENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY�ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION Apo THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE 5797 4..:.x EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS I IB?
