AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER, FOR
AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO
EXECUTE A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL
AVIATION AGENCY FOR THE LOCATION OF AN APPROACH
LIGHT LANE AND AN ELECTRONIC FLASHING APPROACH
LIGHT, THE INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM, MIDDLE
MARKER, AND REMOTE TRANSMITTER AT THE _CORPUS
CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY. r
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THE CITYi MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND
DIRECTED, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE A
LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY FOR THE LOCATION OF AN
APPROACH LIGHT LANE AND AN ELECTRONIC FLASHING APPROACH LIGHT, THE INSTRU-
MENT LANDING SYSTEM, MIDDLE MARKER AND REMOTE TRANSMITTER AT THE CORPUS
CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, A COPY OF SAID LICENSE AGREEMENT, WITHOUT
EXHIBITS, BEING ATTACHED HERETO.
SECTION 2. THE PUBLIC NECESSITY TO PROVIDE THE FAA WITH A
LICENSE TO LOCATE THE ABOVEMENTIONED LIGHTING AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SO
THAT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MAY BE COMPLETED ON SCHEDULE
CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND PUBLIC IMPERATIVE NECESSITY REQUIRING THE
SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE
PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST,
AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED, AND THAT THIS
ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT
AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORD-
INGLY PASSED AND APPROVED THIS jDAY OF AUG , 1960.

LICENSE
1. For and in consideration of One Dollar ($1,00) per anngm and in view of the benefit to the

after referred to as the licensor, hereby grants to the United States of America the license, right and
privilege to install, operate and maintain an approach light lane; an instrument landing system;
radar facilities; and necessary control facilities, upon the following described lands in the County of

2. Together with the right of ingress and egress over the said lands and adjoining lat;ds of the
licensor, necessary or convenient for the installation, operation and maintenance of the approach
light lane; an instrument landing system; radar facilities; and necessary control facilities; and a
right -of -way for a power line and control line, overhead and underground, or other facilities, over and
across the said lands and adjoining lands of the licensor, said right of ingress and egress and said
right -of -way, unless hereinbefore described by metes and bounds, to be by the most convenient routes;
and the right to utilize any existing power lines, control lines, condgits, or other facilities of the
licensor which are adaptable to use in connection with the purpose of this license.
3. The right of ingress and egress and the right -of -way herein granted shall inure to the
benefits of the licensee and its duly authorized agen ts, represeptatives, contractors and employees,

duration of tho installation.
