BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $17,474.64 OUT OF VARIOUS BOND FUNDS FOR EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $1,960,000.0O, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI FIRST MORTGAGE WATER- WORKS REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1960, & $1,850,000.00, GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 196o, ON JUNE 13, 1960, SAID APPROPRIATION TO BE FROM THE BOND FUNDS AS PER THE ATTACHED LIST. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY FOR MAKING THE APPROPRIATION AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 HEREOF CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
