GIVENS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED FROM BRIDGE REMOVAL AND RELOCATION BOND FUND N0. 230, PROJECT 230 -55 -9.52, THE SUM OF $150.00 FOR PAYMENT OF APPRAISAL WORK ON HYPOTHETICAL BRIDGE BY THOMAS N. GIVENS. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY FOR MAKING THE APPROPRIATION DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 HEREINABOVE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PA /S SAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS THE DAY OF �/l.C� , 196o. �— ATTEST: MAYOR THE CITY OF 6PUS CHR T , TEXAS l CITY SECRETA Y APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM THIS 22 DAY OF GLu- 1960: CITY ATTORNIEY 5881 u�..n August 19. 1960.
