STAPLES STREET IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID BUILDING AND PREMISES TO BE OCCUPIED AS.A WAREHOUSE AND OFFICE BY THE ACME FAST FREIGHT. INC.., AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF SAID LEASE AGREEMENT, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ENNIS JOSLIN FOR FOR THE TEMPORARY USE OF A CERTAIN BUILDING AND PREMISES LOCATED AT 118 N. STAPLES STREET IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SAID BUILDING AND PREMISES TO BE OCCUPIED BY THE ACME FAST FREIGHT, INC., AS WAREHOUSE AND OFFICES, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF SAID LEASE AGREEMENT, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE FACILITIES FOR THE ACME FAST FREIGHT, INC., DURING THE TIME THE CITY IS MOVING THEIR PRESENT BUILDING TO THE SITE OF THE NEW JOINT RAILROAD YARD AS A PART OF THE BASCULE BRIDGE REMOVAL AND RELOCATION PROJECT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTIONS AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED, AND THAT THIS ORDf- NANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND SE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND A -TER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS g DAY OF ��� , 1960.
