APPROPRIATING FROM NO. 230 -THE SUM OF $3,47.00
OF WHICH AMOUNT 5160.00 IS FOR COSTS OF TEMPORARY
OFFICE BUILDING, FOR A TWO MONTHS PERIOD, AT THE
NEW JOINT TRAIN YARD, PENDING COMPLETION OF PERMA-
NENT FACILITIES NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION, AND $3,277.00
IS FOR MAXIMUM COST OF IMOV I NG AND RELOCATING AN
EXISTING BUILDING TO THE NEW INTERCHANGE YARD, ALL
APPLICABLE TO CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 (THE ISSUANCE OF
WHICH IS TEMPORARILY HELD IN ABEYANCE) "BUILDINGS
AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR NEW JOINT RAILROAD YARD" UNDER
CONTRACT TO PRICE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, PROJECT
NO.-230-55-8.8-4; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
BOND
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED FROM No. 230 BRIDGE
FUND THE SUM OF 53,437.00 OF WHICH AMOUNT $160.00 IS FOR COSTS OF
TEMPORARY OFFICE BUILDING, FOR A TWO MONTHS PERIOD, AT THE NEW JOINT
TRAIN YARD, PENDING COMPLETION OF PERMANENT FACILITIES NOW UNDER
CONSTRUCTION, AND $3,277.00 IS FOR MAXIMUM COST OF MOVING AND RELOCAT-
ING AN EXISTING BUILDING TO THE NEW INTERCHANGE YARD, ALL APPLICABLE
TO CHANGE ORDER No li (THE ISSUANCE OF WHICH IS TEMPORARILY HELD IN
ABEYANCE), "BUILDINGS AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR NEW JOINT RAILROAD YARD`'
UNDER CONTRACT TO PRICE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, PROJECT NO. 230- 55- 8.8 -4.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION HEREIN -
ABOVE DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC
NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE
OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION
AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL
MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH
EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER
RULE BE SUSPENDED, AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE
DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND
EFFECT FROM AND AFTER TS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE
SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE. READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL;
I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIRE-
MENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE
PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
