BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI A CONTRACT WITH RAYMOND DUGAT COMPANY, CONTRACTORS, FOR INSTALLATION OF AP- PROXIMATELY 222277 FEET OF PIPE, 17t TO 8" IN SIZE, INCLUDING VALVES, FITTINGS, ETC., IN CONNECTION WITH PROJECT N0. 200- 53 -42, "REHABILITATION OF GAS MAINS" IN THE ARCADIA VILLAGE AREA, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET OUT IN THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY, ALL OF WHICH ARE MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE, AND ACCORDING TO THE BID OF RAYMOND 10UGAT COMPANY, OPENED ON THE 16TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1960, THE SAID BID OF RAYMOND DUCAT COMPANY BEING THE LOWEST AND MOST ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED FROM N0. 200 GAS IMPROVEMENT BOND FUND THE SUM OF $52,885.00 OF WHICH AMOUNT $29,827.80 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, $21,236.43 IS FOR MATERIALS FROM CITY WAREHOUSE, 11,800.00 IS FOR DETAIL INSPECTIONS AND $20.77 IS FOR LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR BIDS. SECTION 3.
