AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY, TV10 GRATUITOUS AGREEMENTS WITH THE U. S.
WEATHER BUREAU FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN GROUND
SPACE FOR PLACING OF WEATHER BUREAU -OWNED EQUIP-
MENT AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,
ALL AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE AGREEMENTS, A
COPY OF EACH OF SAID AGREEMENTS BEING ATTACHED
HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI; TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND
DIRECTED TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TWO GRATUITOUS AGREEMENTS WITH THE UNITED STATES
WEATHER BUREAU FOR THE USE BY THE WEATHER BUREAU OF CERTAIN GROUND
SPACE AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR PLACING OF
WEATHER BUREAU -OWNED TRANSMISSOMETER RECEIVER AND ROTATING BEAM
CEILOMETER EQUIPMENT, ALL AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE AGREEMENTS,
A COPY OF EACH OF SAID AGREEMENTS BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A
PART HEREOF.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER THE AGREE-
MENTS AS HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERA-
TIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT
NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS
INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT
THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING
DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE
SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED
FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE
EFFECT AND BE IN•FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT
IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS THE 21ST DAY OF MARCH, 1962. 1�e �lzt_

premises, services, and facilities hereinafter described; and
THAT, the Government does hereby accept the use of miJ premises, services, and facilities for the purpume stated below:
One pot of ground space for location of Weather Bureau -owned ttansmissometer
receiver, the plot approxiiately 10 feet by 12 feat located at a point 177 feet
southwest thence 432 feet northwest of Glide Slope Building and 577 feet ficka
centailins NVY 13. Ground area for access road 12 feet wide from southwest end
of FAA access road near Glide Slope Building southwestward 127 feet thence
northeastward approximately 432 feat to transstissometer location. Basessent
for underground cable from transalissosfdter location southeastward parallel to
access road for aporfndmatnly 290 fast thence eastward to a point on the
southwest edge of Glide 81ope,building easement 48 feet southwest of Glide
Slope Building; the plot located at Corpus Christi, Texas and which space shall
bo raAdily and conveniently accessible at all tiles.
