KOSAR STREET, FROM AYERS STREET TO NAPLES STREET (2 BLOCKS); 2. VINE STREET, FROM HAMILTON ROAD TO EAST FRONTAGE ROAD OR HARBOR BRIDGE; VINE STREET, FROM WEST FRONTAGE ROAD OF HARBOR BRIDGE TO AVENUE "D "; VINE STREET, FROM AVENUE "D" TO U. S. HIGHWAY 181; DAVIS STREET, FROM TIMON BLVD. TO AVENUE "D "; 5'. . DAVIS STREET, FROM AVENUE "D" TO HIGHWAY 781; AND 7. HAMILTON ROAD EXTENSION FROM BUSHICK PLACE TO OXFORD PLACE AND SETTING THE DATE OF MAY 9, 1962, AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; GIVING THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING SAID STREETS AND PORTIONS THEREOF TO BE IMPROVED NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING; DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI IS OF THE OPINION THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO LEVY AN ASSESSMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTY AND THE OWNERS THEREOF ABUTTING UPON THE FOLLOWING: 1. Kosar Street from Ayers Street to Naples Street (2 blocks) 2. Vine Street from Hamilton Road to east frontage road or Harbor Bridge 3• Vine Street from West frontage road of Harbor 31ridge to Avenue D 4. Vine Street from Avenue D to U.S. Highway 181 5. Davis Street from Timon Boulevard to Avenue D 6. Davis Street from Avenue D to U.S. Highway 181 7. Hamilton Road extension from Bushick Place to Oxford Place AND AGAINST STREET AND STEAM RAILWAY COMPANIES WHOSE TRACKS OCCUPY SAID STREETS, IF ANY, FOR A PART OF THE COST OF IMPROVING SAID STREETS, FIXING A TIME FOR THE HEARING OF THE OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY, AND THE SAID STEAM RAILWAY COMPANIES AND STREET RAILWAY COMPANIES, CONCERNING THE SAME, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE OF SAID HEARING, AS REQUIRED BY LAW; AND WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL HAS HERETOFORE, BY ORDINANCE, ORDERED THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE STREETS AND PORTIONS ENUMERATED ABOVE. ANY EXISTING CURBS OR GUTTERS IN PLACE, MEETING THE SPECIFICATIONS SET BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OR WHICH CAN BE UTILIZED, SHALL BE LEFT IN PLACE, IF ANY, AND CORRESPONDING CREDITS TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS SHALL BE ALLOWED ON THE ASSESSMENTS; AND WHEREAS, THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI HAS, 1N ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW, FILED HIS REPORT WITH THE CITY COUNCIL, SETTING FORTH THE PARTICIPATION BY THE STEAM RAILWAY COMPANIES AND STREET RAILWAY COMPANIES, IF ANY, AND. THE PROPERTY OWNERS, IN THE COST THEREOF, TOGETHER WITH THE NAMES OF THE OWNERS AND THE DESCRIPTION OF SAID PROPERTY, AND THE WORK TO BE DONE ADJACENT THERETO, AND THE AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST EACH LOT OR PARCEL AND ITS OWNER AND ALL OTHER,MATTERS REQUIRED BY THE APPLICABLE LAW; III -SP -1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY-COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE REPORT OR STATEMENT FILED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS HAVING BEEN DULY EXAMINED IS HEREBY APPROVED. SECTION 2, THAT IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DETERMINED THAT THE COST OF IMPROVEMENTS ON THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED STREETS WITH THE AMOUNT OR AMOUNTS PER FRONT FOOT PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SUCH IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY AND THE OWNERS THEREOF, AND AGAINST STREET AND STEAM RAILWAY COMPANIES WHOSE TRACKS OCCUPY SAID STREETS, IF ANY, ARE AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: These improvements consist generally of cutting or filling the roadbed, construction of subgrade, roadway base, concrete curbs, and gutters and concrete sidewalks, three - course asphalt surface treatment, (except Hamilton Road is to have a two - course surface treatment), storm sewers and appurtenances, and reinforced concrete driveways where specified, so that the roadway width will be 30' face to face of curb, with the exception of Vine Street which will be a width of 40' face to face of curb. All in compliance with plans and specifications on file in office of the City Engineer. The assessments rates for these improvements are as follows: PART 1.
