AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,648.23 OUT OF VARIOUS
BOND FUNDS FOR EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE
OF $2,000,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 1963,
ON JANUARY 5, 1963; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $4,645.23
OUT OF TBE FOLLOWING LISTED BOND FUNDS FOR EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH
THE SALE OF $2,000,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 19631 SAID SALE
HAWING BEEN CONDUCTED ON JANUARY 8, 1963:

SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY FOR MAKING
THE APPROPRIATION
AS

DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 HEREOF CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE
PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE
OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY EXISTS, AND
HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE
TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS
