INTER- OFFICE COMMUNICATION r rt Dept. Public Works Herbert W. Whitney, City Manager r' From Obie L. Etheridge, City Engineer Date 23 July 1963 U. S. Naval Air Station Annexation. Through a request from the Traffic Section of the Police Department regarding the City Limit line along Ocean Drive, it was discovered that the Oso Bridge is not in the City Limits. In checking the Ordinance which annexed the Naval Air Station we found that the description used was not the one prepared by the City, but one prepared by the Navy and apparently was written from the deeds whereby the Navy acquired this property. The description written by the City included the bridge over Ocean Drive and all of the area now occupied by the Naval Air Station. We were not informed of the change and assumed that our description had been used. We recommend that an ordinance be written annexing the area omitted by Ordinance No. 6839, the legal description of this area is as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the south shoreline of Corpus Christi Bay with a line that is 10 feet west of and parallel to the west abutment of a bridge constructed by Nueces County in 1962, being a bridge across the main branch of Oso Creek between Cayo Del Oso and Corpus Christi Bay, and being the same bridge referred to in call Not. 58 in annexation Ordinance No . 66361 f i s g n -ro.. i a we .n -1.5' P4 g v t W 4aau .•..fah 14,. ct.R,, 1 .rf t4 -6"4.*.
