APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE
SUM OF 500.00, OF WHICH AMOUNT $425.00 IS FOR THE
PU q - -f�G. OF A PORTION OF THE GRACE WINTERS
6.37 ACRE TRACT, AND 75.00 IS FOR TITLE EXPENSE,
MORE RIBED HEREINAFTER, ,APPLICABLE TO
PROJECT NO. 220 -53 -22.5, WINTERS - NESBITT CONNECT-
ION, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT FOR AND ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF C RPUS CHRISTI FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL OF LAND;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 220 STREET
BOND FUND THE SUM OF $500.00, OF WHICH AMOUNT $425.00 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF
A PORTION OF THE GRACE WINTERS 6.37 ACRE TRACT, SAID TRACT BEING MORE FULLY
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, AND $75.00 IS FOR TITLE EXPENSE, APPLICABLE TO
PROJECT No. 220 -53 -22.5 WINTERS - NESBITT CONNECTION:
BEING A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THAT CERTAIN 0.503 ACRE TRACT
CONVEYED TO ROGERS SOUTH BY MATTIE MAE NAVE AND HUSBAND,
A. M. NAVE BY DEED DATED 19 JULY 1945 OF RECORD IN VOL. 313,
PAGE 37, DEED RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS. SAID TRACT
OF LAND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS
AS FOLLOWS, TO WIT:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID 0.503 ACRE TRACT
FOR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE N 28' 121 E WITH THE EAST LINE OF SAID 0.503 ACRE TRACT
A DISTANCE OF 96.40 FEET TO A POINT, THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
SAID 0.503 ACRE TRACT FOR THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE N 61° 40, W WITH THE NORTH LINE OF SAID 0.503 ACRE
TRACT A DISTANCE OF 5 FEET TO A POINT FOR A CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE S 2$' 121 W PARALLEL TO THE EAST LINE OF SAID 0.503 ACRE
TRACT A DISTANCE OF 40.63 FEET TO A POINT;
THENCE ALONG THE ARC OF A CIRCULAR CURVE TO THE RIGHT HAVING
A RADIUS OF 48.41 FEET AND A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 32° 45' 33" A
DISTANCE OF 27.68 FEET TO A POINT;
THENCE ALONG THE ARC OF A CIRCULAR CURVE TO THE RIGHT HAVING
A RADIUS OF 79.85 FEET AND A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 32o 451 33" A
DISTANCE OF 45.65 FEET TO A POINT IN THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID
0.503 ACRE TRACT FOR A CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE S 61° 40= E WITH THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID 0.503 ACRE TRACT
A DISTANCE OF 46.79 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED
AND DIRECTED FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE
REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL OR
TRACT OF LAND.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION HEREINABOVE
DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY
REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION
SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDI-
NANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY ^
COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY
EXISTS AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT
THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE
EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS
ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED THIS THE_ /.�- DAY OF JANUARYS 1964.

RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO-
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
