AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $18,215 OF WHICH AMOUNT
$16,960 IS FROM NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND, $786
IS FROM,NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER FUND AND $469 IS
FROM NO. 297 STORM SEWER FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS
TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,381 REMAINING
FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING
AND OR CONTINGENCIES APPLICABLE TO THE RESPECTIVE
PROJECTS AND AS REQUIRED TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL
FUND NO. 102 CURRENT FUND, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
RENDERED DURING THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE 19 FISCAL
YEAR, BEING NOVEMBER 1, 19b3 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 19 'F;—
AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT OUT OF FUNDS HERETOFORE AND
HEREBY APPROPRIATED IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $12,596 AS
SHOWN ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A
PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $18,215, OF
WHICH AMOUNT $16,96o 15 FROM N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND, $786 IS FROM N0.
250 SANITARY SEWER FUND AND $469 IS FROM NO. 295 STORM SEWER FUND, THE
FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,381 REMAINING
FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING AND/OR CONTINGENCIES
APPLICABLE TO THE RESPECTIVE PROJECTS AND AS REQUIRED TO REIMBURSE THE
GENERAL FUND NO. 102 CURRENT FUND, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RENDERED
DURING THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE 1963 -64 FISCAL YEAR, BEING NOVEMBER 1,
1963 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 1964, NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED OR APPROPRIATED,
ALL AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS, ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
SECTION 2. THAT REIMBURSEMENT BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS, A COPY OF WHICH IS AT-
TACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY FOR MAKING REIMBURSEMENT TO REFLECT
SUCH EXPENDITURES AS ARE PROPERLY CHARGEABLE TO BOND FUNDS AS PROMPTLY
AS POSSIBLE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY
REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH

ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY
TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT
THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT
THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER
ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE_,��y DAY OF

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO -
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
