APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $14,044, OF WHICH AMOUNT
$7,125.00 IS FROM NO. 220.STREET BOND FUND,
$b,08 .00 IS FROM NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND ;
AND $36.00 IS FROM NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND,
THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $3,267.00 REM4INING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY
APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING AND/OR CONTINGENCIES
APPLICABLE TO THE RESPECTIVE PROJECTS AND AS REQUIR-
ED TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL FUND NO. 102 CURRENT FUND,
FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RENDERED DURING THE THIRD
QUARTER OF THE 1963 -64 FISCAL YEAR, BEING FEBRUARY 1,
1964 THROUGH APRIL 30, 1964; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSE-
MENT OUT OF FUNDS HERETOFORE AND HEREBY APPROPRIATED
IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $17,311.00 AS SHOWN ON THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS, A
COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART
HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $14,044.00,
OF WHICH AMOUNT $7,125.00 IS FROM N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND, $6,0$3.00 IS
FROM NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND AND $$36.00 IS FROM ND. 295 STORM
SEWER BOND FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT
OF $3,267.00 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEER-
ING AND/OR CONTINGENCIES APPLICABLE TO THE RESPECTIVE PROJECTS AND AS
REQUIRED TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL FUND N0. 102 CURRENT FUND, FOR ENGINEER-
ING SERVICES RENDERED DURING THE THIRD QUARTER OF THE 1963 -64 FISCAL YEAR,
BEING FEBRUARY 1, 1964 THROUGH APRIL 30, 1964; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT

SUCH EXPENDITURES AS ARE PROPERLY CHARGEABLE TO BOND FUNDS AS PROMPTLY
AS POSSIBLE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY
REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCILS I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO -
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
