HomeMy WebLinkAbout07260 RES - 06/17/1964EE:6/15/64 A `RESOLUTION ADOPTING MINUTE ORDER NO. 54712 PASSED BY THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION ON JUNE 4, 1964, REGARDING AN ILLUMINATION SYSTEM FROM MORRIS STREET TO TARLTON STREET,,ON STATE HIGHWAY 286, IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, WHEREBY THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WILL PARTICIPATE ON AN EQUAL BASIS IN THE CONSTRUCTION,.,,MAINTENANCE AND OPERATING COST OF THE ILLUMINATION SYSTEM ON'STATE HIGHWAY 286' AT THE LOCATIONS AFORESAID; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT HAS SUBMITTED A COPY OF MINUTE ORDER NUMBER 54712, PASSED BY THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION ON JUNE 4, 1964, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, IN NUECES COUNTY ON STATE HIGHWAY 286, THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI HAS REQUESTED THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ILLUMINATION SYSTEM FROM MORRIS STREET TO TARLTON STREET; AND WHEREAS, THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI HAS REQUESTED SUCH CONSTRUCTION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF MINUTE ORDER 28464 WHEREBY THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT AND THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI WILL PARTICIPATE ON AN EQUAL BASIS IN THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATING COST OF SUCH FACILITY; NOW, THEREFORE, THE STATE HIGHWAY ENGINEER IS DIRECTED TO PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF AN ILLUMINATION SYSTEM WITHIN THESE LIMITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF MINUTE ORDER 28464, FINANCING THE COST IN THE 1965 -1966 CONSOLI- DATED HIGHWAY PROGRAM. THIS ORDER IS SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE BY THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND IF NOT ACCEPTED WITHIN 90 DAYSCF THE DATE HEREOF, THE ACTION HEREIN CONTAINED SHALL BE AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT MINUTE ORDER NO. 54712, PASSED BY THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION ON JUNE 4, 19664, REGARDING CONSTRUCTION OF AN ILLUMI- NATION SYSTEM ON STATE HIGHWAY 286, IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE �� DAY OF JUNE, 1964.
