HomeMy WebLinkAbout07282 ORD - 07/15/1964BJW:7/15/64 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $40,99$.64 TO COVER THE COST OF THE RELOCATION OF CITY GAS DIVISION LINES WITHIN THE CROSST10WN UNIT II RIGHT -OF -WAY, PROJECT NO. 220- 56-72, CONSTRUCTED BY CITY FORCES; AUTHORIZING RE- IMBURSEMENT OUT OF THE HEREINABOVE APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDS EXPENDED OUT OF NO. 106 GAS FUND, AS PRO- VIDED IN THE 1963 -64 BUDGET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $40,998.64 TO COVER THE COST OF THE RELOCATION OF CITY GAS DIVISION LINES WITHIN THE CROSSTOWN UNIT 11 RIGHT -OF -WAY, PROJECT ND. 220- 56 -72, CONSTRUCTED BY CITY FORCES. SECTION 2. THE REIMBURSEMENT OF No. 106 GAS FUND FOR THE AMOUNT PREVIOUSLY ADVANCED IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO REIMBURSE THE N0. 106 GAS FUND IN THE AMOUNT HEREINABOVE SET OUT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERA- TIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE DAY OF JULY, 1964.
