HomeMy WebLinkAbout07385 ORD - 10/14/1964B,iw:10/20/64 ` TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF #220 STREET BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND THE SUM OF $658.10 FOR THE ACQUISI- TION OF PARCEL #7 APPLICABLE TO PROJECT #220- 56 -27, 19TH STREET CONNECTION TO MORGAN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF SAID PARCEL AT THE PURCHASE PRICE THEREIN STATED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $658.10, FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 7, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT N0. 220- 56 -27, 19TH STREET CONNECTION TO MORGAN: A PORTION OF LOT 81 BLOCK 51 SEGREST ADDITION AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AS SHOWN BY MAP OR PLAT OF RECORD IN VOL. 6, PAGE 7, MAP RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID PORTION HEREIN CONVEYED BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 8 FOR A COR- NER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE S. 280 OOI 5711 W. WITH THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID LOT 8 A DISTANCE OF 16.73 FEET TO A POINT FOR A CORNER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE N. 27° 141 4711 W. A DISTANCE OF 29.36 FEET TO A POINT IN THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID LOT 8 FOR A CORNER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE S. 61° 591 03° E. WITH THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID LOT 8 A DISTANCE OF 24.13 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU- TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH A85 l ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED, AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE � Iq DAY OF OCTOBER, 1964.
