WHEREAS, Article V. Section 4 of the City Charter provides for `
the adoption in whole or in parts of a master plan for the physical develop-
ment of the City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Charter the Zoning and Plan-
ning Commission has, in its regular meeting of November 10, 1964, recommended
the approval and adoption of the Master Sanitary Sewer Plan as prepared by
Reagan and McCaughan, Consulting Engineers for the City, and has forwarded
such recommendation to the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, notice has been given of a public hearing to consider the
adoption of said plan and the hearing, in accordance with said notice, has
been conducted in open Council session on December 23, 1964;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the hearing heretofore called and conducted on
December 23, 1964, for the consideration of the adoption of a master sanitary
sewer plan be, and it is hereby closed.
SECTION 2. That the Master Sanitary Sewer Plan prepared by Reagan
and McCaughan, Consulting Engineers for the City of Corpus Christi, be and
it is hereby adopted as a part of the official Master Plan for the City of
Corpus Christi.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and
after its passage as in the Charter in such cases is made and provided.
IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 23 day of
December, 1964.

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-

THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO-
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
