BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS' CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION I. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the class grade of certain positions to hereafter read as follows: Class Title Class Grade 9 Key punch Operator I 25 Electronic Computor Programmer 30 Park Superintendent 30 Sanitation Superintendent Assistant General Superintendent 31 Sewer System SECTION 2. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by creating certain new class titles and class grades to hereafter read as follows: Class Title Class Grade 9 Semi - Skilled Laborer 12 _.Sign Painter I 23 Collection Supervisor 25 Utility Plant Supervisor II SECTION 3. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the class titles of certain positions k,F14"gXjXgXXX Ma- as follows: From Class Title To Class Title Sign Painter II (18) Sign Painter (18) 23 and Sewage Plant Supervisor ( ) Utility Plant Supervisor I (23) Filter Plant Supervisor (23) Sr. Park Foreman (18) park Construction Foreman (18) i , a� 7G54 SECTION 4. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by reducing the work week of the class title of Humane Officer from 48 hours per week to 40 hours per week. SECTION 5. If for any reason any section, paragraph, sub- division, clause, phrase, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any valid provisions of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 6. The effective date of the above changes shall be August 1, 1965. SECTION 7. The fact that there is an immediate need to create certain new positions and a need to maintain an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having requested the suspension of the said Charter Rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
