APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE WRITTEN STATEMENT AND
REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS, SHOWING
THE ESTIMATES OF THE TOTAL COSTS OF ALL THE IM-
PROVEMENTS, THE ESTIMATES OF THE COST PER LINEAR
FOOT PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING
PROPERTY, AND THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS THEREOF,
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS ON THE HEREIN-

(A) THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
HAS HERETOFORE BY ORDINANCE N0. 77 3GULY ENACTED ON THE 6TH DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1965, DETERMINED THE NECESSITY FOR AND ORDERED THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SIDEWALKS ON THE HEREINAFTER NAMED STREETS IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, TO -WIT:
1. GOLLIHAR ROAD, SOUTHWEST SIDE, FROM AIRLINE ROAD TO
EXISTING PAVED AREA APPROXIMATELY 190 FEET EAST OF

WHICH SAID PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS HAVE HERETOFORE BEEN APPROVED AND
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
(B) THAT A NOTICE DULY ENACTED IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI TEXAS OF THE ENACTMENT OF SAID ABOVE DESCRIBED ORDINANCE2 HAS
HERETOFORE BEEN FILED WITH THE COUNTY CLERK OF NUECES COUNTY TEXAS, THE
COUNTY IN WHICH THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI IS SITUATED, AND SUCH NOTICE
HAS BEEN DULY RECORDED IN THE DEED OF TRUST RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS.
(C) THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI1 TEXAS,
HAS CAUSED THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO PREPARE AND FILE ESTIMATES OF
THE COSTS OF SUCH IMPROVEMENTS AND ESTIMATES OF THE AMOUNT PER LINEAR FOOT
TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTY ABUTTING SAID SIDEWALKS; AND THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS HAS HERETOFORE FILED SAID ESTIMATES AND A STATE -
MENT OF OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO WITH SAID CITY COUNCILS AND THE SAME
HAVING BEEN RECEIVED, EXAMINED AND APPROVED BY SAID CITY COUNCIL; AND THAT ,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID STATEMENT OF THE ESTIMATE SO FILED BY THE DIRECTOR
OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HEREIN APPROVED, THE AMOUNT OF SAID ESTIMATED COSTS ARE
HEREIN APPROVED, THE AMOUNT OF SAID ESTIMATED COSTS ARE HEREINAFTER STATED
AND SET OUT AND A SCHEDULE CONTAINED IN SECTION 2 HEREOF.
SECTION 2. THE WRITTEN STATEMENT AND REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS HERETOFORE FILED WITH THE CITY COUNCIL, SHOWING THE ESTIMATED
TOTAL COSTSLF THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID SIDEWALKS, SHOWING THE AMOUNTS PER
LINEAR FOOT PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY AND
AGAINST THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS THEREOF FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS, SHOWING
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID SIDEWALKS PROPOSED TO BE
ASSESSED AGAINST AND PAID TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI BY THE ABUTTING

ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS, HAVING BEEN RECEIIVED AND EXAMINED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL SAID REPORT AND THE ESTIMATES THEREIN SHOWN ARE HEREBY
IN ALL THINGS APPROVED AND ADOPTED; AND IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DETERMINED
BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL THAT THE ESTIMATED COSTS OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS
AS ABOVE DESCRIBED ON SAID STREETS ARE AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT:
PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL
SIDEWALK PROJECT UNIT IT
This sidewalk project, designated Unit II, calls for the construction of sidewalks
along various streets adjacent and leading to both private and public schools with-
in the City. The streets involved in this project are as follows:
1. Goll-thar Road, southwest side, from Airline Road to existing paved
area approximately 190' east of South Staples Street intersection.
2. Weber Road, north east side, from Holly Road to Mary Carroll High
School.
3• Greely Drive - Parade Drive intersection, south side.
4. Highland Avenue, north side, from existing sidewalk west of Port
Avenue to Osage Street.
5. Arlington Drive, south side, from Lanier Drive to school property
line, east of Churchill Drive.
6, Rosewood Street, east side, from Highland Avenue to Blake Street
intersection.
7. Winnebago Street, north side, from T. C. Ayers Park to Sam Rankin
Street, and approximately 150 l.f. on east side of Sam Rankin, from
Winnebago Street.
8. Cantwell Drive, west side, from I.H. 37 to Up River Road from
Cantwell Drive to Savage School.
9. Lantana Street, west side, from I. H. 37 to Hampshire Road.
The assessment rate for this project was calculated on 86.5% of the unit bid price:
$1.72 x 86.5, = $1.46 per linear foot. Consideration was given for side lot ad-
justment and credit for existing sidewalk or driveway left in place.

(24) IN NUMBER, SAID PAYMENTS TO BE MADE AT THE CITY HALL IN THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, THE FIRST OF WHICH SHALL BE PAYABLE
WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE COMPLETION OF SAID IMPROVE-
MENTS AND THEIR ACCEPTANCE BY THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, AND ONE INSTALL-

AND INDEPENDENT OF AND FROM THE ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED IN EVERY OTHER
OF SAID UNITS AND PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS, ANDS IN MAKING AND LEVYING SAID
ASSESSMENTS AGAINST THE PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON ONE OF SAID UNITS, NO MATTER

PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE
OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
