CONTRACTS FOR NINE LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED IN PHARAOH VALLEY SUBDIVIDION: ONE CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR STREET LIGHT BILLING TO THE EXTENT OF $216.00 ON FOUR STREET LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED IN PHARAOH VALLEY WEST, AND ONE CONTRACT PROVIDING THAT THE CITY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LIGHT BILLING TO THE EXTENT OF $270.00 ON FIVE LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED IN a PHARAOH VALLEY SOUTHWEST UNIT II, ALL OF SAID RESPONSI- BILITY TO BE SUBJECT TO THE PAYMENT OF SAID SUMS TO THE CITY BY THE SUBDIVIDER, PHARAOH ENTERPRISES, LTD., A COPY OF EACH OF SAID CONTRACTS BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING (_AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, PHARAOH ENTERPRISES, LTD. IS THE DEVELOPER OF PHARAOH VALLEY WEST AND PHARAOH VALLEY SOUTHWEST UNIT 11, SUBDIVISIONS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS -OP THE CITY OF CORPUS=CHR'1'S7=1, TEXAS, AND DESIRES THAT THE SAID SUBDIVISION OF PHARAOH VALLEY WEST HAVE FOUR 2500 LUMENS, INCANDESCENT STREET LIGHTS ON ORNAMENTAL STANDARDS, AND THAT THE SAID SUBDIVISION OF PHARAOH VALLEY SOUTHWEST UNIT 11 HAVE FIVE 2500 LUMENS, INCANDESCENT STREET LIGHTS ON ORNAMENTAL STANDARDS INSTALLED, MAINTAINED AND SUPPLIED WITH ELECTRICITY BY THE CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE SAID SUBDIVISIONS; AND WHEREAS, THE DEVELOPER IS WILLING AND DESIROUS TO PAY TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI THE SUM OF TWO YEARS NORMAL CHARGES FOR THE AFORE- SAID STREET LIGHTS, AMOUNTING TO $216.00 AND $270.00, RESPECTIVELY, IF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI WILL REQUEST THAT THE AFORESAID LIGHTS BE INSTALLED, AND THE SAID CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, WILL MAKE PAYMENT OF STREET LIGHT BILLINGS ON-THE SAID LIGHTS UP TO THE SAID SUMS SET OUT ABOVE; AND WHEREAS, IT IS BENEFICIAL TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE SAID SUBDIVI- SIONS AND IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST'TO DO SO: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THE NECESSITY FOR ADEQUATE STREET LIGHTING FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE SUBDIVISIONS OF PHARAOH VALLEY WEST AND PHARAOH VALLEY SOUTHWEST UNIT II AND THE CITIZENS OF CORPUS CHRISTI USING THE STREETS IN THOSE SUBDIVISIONS TO HAVE ADEQUATE LIGHTING CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC u,NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE -2- Y" 4 -t-.
