'AN ORDINANCE '
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $4,251.51 OUT OF VARIOUS
BOND FUNDS FOR EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE
SALE OF $1,700,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS,
SERIES 1965, ON NOVEMBER 30, 1965; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $4,251.51 out
of the following listed bond funds for expenses in connection with the sale
of $1,700,000 General Improvement Bonds, Series 1965, said sale having been
conducted November 30, 1965:

Mailing Costs 341.47
Advertising 25.00
Travel - Director of Finance 102.23
Bond Printing 279.00

SECTION 2: The necessity for making the appropriation as described
in Section 1 hereof creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance
or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and
the Mayor having declared that such emergency exists, and having requested the
suspension of said Charter Rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in
full force and effect from a after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED

contract, agreement, obligation, or expenditure contemplated in the above
and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi
to the credit of No. 207 Public Building Bond Fund - $1,126.65;
No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund - $1,437.01; No. 291 Park Bond Fund -
$624.97; No. 295,Storm Sewer Bond Fund - $1,062.88
Fund from 'which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not
appropriated for any other purpose.

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO-
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
