AMENDING SECTION 21 -156 OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY
CODE. 1 950, AS AMENDED, BY MAKING PROVISION FOR ITEMS
19 AND 20 SO AS TO FORBID THE STOPPING, STANDING OR
PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE WEST SIDE OF KOSTORYZ ROAD
FROM SOUTH STAPLES STREET TO LEXINGTON BOULEVARD BE-
TWEEN THE HOURS OF :00 P.M. AND :00'P.M.� AND ON THE
BAST SIDE ES OF KOSTORYZ ROOD FROM SOUTH STAPL STREET
TO LEXINGTON BOULEVARD BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 A.M.
TO 9:00 A.M.; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,

SECTION 1. THAT SECTION 21 -156 OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE,

1958, AS AMENDED, BE AMENDED SO AS TO ADD THERETO ITEMS 19 AND 20, AS FOLLOWS:

OR PARKING PROHIBITED
19. KOSTORYZ ROADS FROM
SOUTH STAPLES STREET
TO LEXINGTON BOULEVARDi 4:OO P. M. TO 6:00 P. M.
WEST SIDE
20. KOSTORYZ ROADS FROM
SOUTH STAPLES STREET
TO LEXINGTON BOULEVARD, 7:00 A. M. TO 9:00 A. M.
EAST SIDE
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION SHALL BE MADE IN THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION
OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, ONE TIMES WHICH PUBLICATION SHALL CONTAIN
THE CAPTION STATING IN SUBSTANCE THE PURPOSE OF THE ORDINANCE.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY FOR IMMEDIATE ADOPTION OF THE HEREIN-
ABOVE SET FORTH AMENDMENT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN AT ALL TIMES A COMPREHENSIVE ,
TRAFFIC ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY
AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER
RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF
ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT
THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL] AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED
THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER
RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF
ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND

GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT
SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL) 1, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE
OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO-
DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
