HomeMy WebLinkAbout08007 ORD - 04/27/1966AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MAP OF THE CITY DESIGNATED AS "CORPUS CHRISTI DRILLING BLOCKS MAY 1 195611, BY REDEFINING DRILLING BLOCKS 457, 467, 468 AND 4 9, AS HEREINAFTER,MORE FULLY DESCRIBED; PRO- VIDING FOR PUBLICATION: PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 195611, is hereby amended by revising the area shown'on said map as being Drilling Blocks 457, 467, 468 and 469 so as to redefine 'and establish said rede- fined Drilling Blocks 457, 467,'468 and 469 as set out below: 1 REDEFINED DRILLING BLOCK 457: All of that area originally included in Drilling Block 457 as designated in the map of'the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 1956 ", save and except a tract of approxi- mately 6 acres'out of such Drilling Block 457 known as the KRIS tract or the South Texas Broad- casting Company, Inc. tract, being the same 6 acre tract described in 'a Deed dated September 27, 1961, executed by Marion Robinson Uehlinger, a widow, et al, to the South Texas'Broadcasting Company, Inc.; which Deed is of record in Volume 999 at Pages 580- 583 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas. REDEFINED DRILLING BLOCK 467: All of that area having as its southern boundary line the centerline of Leopard Street or -State Highway-No. 9, extending from its intersection with centerline of Lantana Road to its intersec- tion with the centerline of the Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off; having as its western boundary line the centerline of Lantana Road, ext nding,- from,the intersection of the center- line of LN-Cana Road with the centerline of Leopard Street or State Highway No. 9 to the intersection of the centerline of Lantana Road with.the center- line of Dolan Road; having as its northern boundary line the centerline of Dolan Road, extending from the intersection of the centerline of •Dolan Road with Lantana Road to the intersection of the center- line of Dolan Road with the centerline of the Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut- , off; having as'its eastern boundary line the center- line of the Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off, extending from the intersection of the centerline =of the intersection of- Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cat -off with the centerline of Dolan Road to the intersection of 8007 the' centerline of the Interstate Highway No. - - 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off with the center- line of Leopard Street or State Highway No. 9. REDEFINED DRILLING BLOCK 468: All of that area having as,its, southern boundary= - line the north boundary line of a Subdivision known as Ebony Acres, „Units l and 2, extending from the centerline of the Interstate•Highway'No'.`' 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off to the centerline, of McBride Lane; having as its western boundary line the centerline of the Interstate Highway,No,. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off, extending from the intersection of the centerline of the Inter- state Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off with the north boundary line of said Subdivision known as Ebony Acres, Units 1 and 2, extending to the intersection of the centerline of Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off with the centerline of Dolan Road; having as its northern boundary line a portion of the south boundary line of Drilling Block 461, and the south boundary line of Drilling Block 460 to its southeast corner, con- tinuing along the eastern boundary line of Drilling Block 460 to its intersection with the south boundary line of Drilling Block 459, continuing along the south boundary line of Drilling Block 459 to the southeast corner of Drilling Block 459, as said Drilling Blocks 459, 460 and 461 are desig- nated in the map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 1956 "; and having as its eastern boundary line the centerline of McBride Lane, extending from the southeast corner -of Drilling Block 459 as originally designated in the map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 1956", tc the intersection of the centerline of McBride Lane with the inter- section of the north boundary line, as extended, of the said Subdivision known as Ebony Acres, Units 1 and 2. REDEFINED DRILLING BLOCK 469: All of that area having as its northern boundary line the north boundary line of a Subdivision known as Ebony Acres, Units 1 and 2,,extending from the centerline of the Interstate Highway-No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off to the centerline of McBride Lane; having as its eastern boundary line the centerline of McBride Lane, extending from the intersection of the - centerline of McBride Lane with the north boundary line of the above mentioned Sub- division, as extended, to the intersection of the centerline of McBride Lane with the centerline of Leopard Street or State Highway No. 9; having as its south boundary line the centerline of Leopard Street, extending from the intersection of the centerline of Leopard Street with the centerline of McBride Lane to the intersection of the centerline of Leopard Street with the centerline of the Interstate Highway No. 37 -,Lexington Boulevard cut -off; having as its west boundary line the centerline of the Inter- state Highway No. 37 _ Lexington Boulevard cut- off, extending from the intersection of the centerline of the Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off with the centerline of Leopard Street to the intersection of the centerline of the Interstate Highway No. 37 - Lexington Boulevard cut -off with the north boundary line of the above mentioned Subdivision; and all of the 6 acre tract originally included in- Drilling Block 457 and excluded from REDEFINED DRILLING BLOCK 457 and being the same 6 acre tract described in a Deed dated September 27, 1961, executed by Marion Robinson Uehlinger, a widow, et al, in favor of South Texas Broadcasting Company, Inc.; and appearing of record in Volume 999 at Pages 580 -583 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. Publication shall be made-in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, one time, which publi- cation shall contain the caption stating in substance the purpose of the Ordinance. _ SECTION 3. If for any reason any section,'paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or provision of this Ordinance shall be Yeld'invalid, it shall not affect any valid provisions of this . or any other Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate.. SECTION 4. The necessity for immediately amending the map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks,, May 31,'1956 ";�by revising the area shown on said map as being Drillings Blocks 457, 467, 468 and 469 creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in -3- t full force and effect from and after its passage and publication,' -IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the -U— day of May, 1966..
