AN ORDINANCE
GRANTING A REVOCABLE EASEMENT AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY, TO EXECUTE A REVOCABLE EASEMENT TO L0,- f
VACA GATHERING COMPANY, A CORPORATION HAVING ITS
OFFICE IN NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR CROSSING OF
CERTAIN STREETS IN CONNECTION WITH THE LAYING OF
20 GAS GATHERING LINE TWO 1 PIPELINES AND
ONE PIPELINE. CROSSING CERTAIN STREET RIGHT OF
WAY MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER; PROVIDING
THE TERMS OF SUCH EASEMENT, A COPY OF WHICH IS
ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE
AND DELIVER TO LO —VACA GATHERING COMPANY, A CORPORATION HAVING ITS OFFICE
IN NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, A REVOCABLE EASEMENT TO PLACE A 20" GAS GATHERING
LINE WITHIN CITY STREET RIGHT OF WAY AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATION: BEGINNING

AT THE CITY LIMITS LINE AT A POINT APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE WEST OF RAND MORGAN

ROAD AND ONE MILE NORTH OF THE TEX —MEX RIGHT OF WAY, SAID POINT BEING IN THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 405, B. S. u F. SURVEY, ABSTRACT 567, NUECES
COUNTY, TEXAS, RUNNING IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTION TO A POINT NORTH OF UPRIVER
ROAD AND CROSSING THE PUBLIC ROADS HEREINAFTER MENTIONED, TO —WIT: HIGHWAY
9 (LEOPARD STREET) AT A POINT BETWEEN HARRINGTON STREET AND ROLLING ACRES
STREET; UPRIVER ROAD AT'A POINT DUE NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 9 CROSSING; AND
ACROSS INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 37 AT A POINT APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET WEST OF THE
CARBON BLACK ROAD, AND THE LAYING OF TWO 16" LINES AND ONE 4" LINE, ALL THOSE
GAS GATHERING LINES EXTENDING FROM A POINT ON THE 20" LINE AT THE SOUTHWEST
CITY LIMITS LINE APPROXIMATELY ONE I111LE WEST OF RAND MORGAN ROAD AND EXTEND-
ING NORTHEASTERLY TO A CROSSING ON NAVIGATION BOULEVARD AND THENCE TURNING
NORTHWARD ACROSFS INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 37 AND ACROSS UPRIVER ROAD, WHICH SAID
LINES WILL CROSS THE FOLLOWING STREETS: RAND MORGAN ROAD, UNNAMED DIRT ROAD,
CLARKWOOD ROAD, MANNING ROAD, BRONCO STREET, CORN PRODUCTS ROAD, LEOPARD STREET
(HWY. #9), LANTANA STREET, NORTH PADRE ISLAND DR. (HWY. #358), MCBRIDE ROAD,
NAVIGATION BLVD., INTERSTATE HIGHWAY #37, UPRIVER ROAD, ALL AS SET OUT IN
THE REVOCABLE EASEMENT BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF UPON
PAYMENT OF THE FEE PROVIDED THEREIN.

SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY FOR COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE
AFORESAID PIPELINES AT THE LOCATIONS ABOVE- DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC
EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE
CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON
THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING
DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST] HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH
CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE
DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT
FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE
DAY OF JULY, 1966.
