APPRAISAL AND EXPERT WITNESS TESTIMONY, COURT COSTS AND TITLE EXPENSES, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE CROSSTOWN EXPRESSWAY PROJECT NO. 220 -56- 24.3, APPLICABLE TO PARCEL NO. 468-8, CAUSE NO. 523, SAID CAUSE BEING FILED IN THE COUNTY COURT OF NIECES COUNTY, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $48,915 FOR JUDGMENT AWARD, APPRAISAL AND EXPERT WITNESS TESTIMONY, COURT COSTS AND TITLE EXPENSES, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE CROSSTOWN EXPRESSWAY PROJECT, N0. 220 -56- 24.3, APPLICABLE TO PARCEL N0. 468-B, CAUSE N0. 523, IN THE COUNTY COURT OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID PARCEL BEING OWNED BY HERMAN W. BEHMANN, ET AL. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU- TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE 'lat DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1967.
