BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. ORDINANCE No. 8358, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 8, 1967, BE, AND THE SAME IS HEREBY, AMENDED BY CHANGING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE TO OMAHA DRIVE, BETWEEN BALDWIN BOULEVARD AND STATE HIGHWAY §111, FROM FEBRUARY 22, 1966 TO MARCH 1, 1967. SECTION 2. EXCEPT AS HEREIN PROVIDED, ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE No. 8358 SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE SETTING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING SO AS TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME IN WHICH TO NOTIFY THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS AND ALL PERSONS OWNING OR CLAIMING ANY INTEREST IN ANY PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON THAT PORTION OF OMAHA DRIVE BETWEEN BALDWIN BOULEVARD AND STATE HIGHWAY Ali OF THE SAID PUBLIC HEARING CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUS- PENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED, AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE_,�� —DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1967- CITY SECRETARY MAYOR APPROVED AS W LEGAL FORM TH THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS 5� DAY F FEBRUARY, 1967: CITY ATTORNEY 0 11 . 0 CORPUS CHRISTI, yTyEXI�I DAY OF e I , 1912. TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE- GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCILS 1, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRO- DUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
