CAUSE NO. 518, SAID CAUSE BEING FILED IN THE COUNTY
COURT OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 250
II SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $1555 FOR JUDGMENT AWARD, COMMISSIONER'S
P FEES, TITLE EXPENSE AND COURT COSTS, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE HILLTOP
INTERCEPTOR TRUNK LINE 34 -A, PROJECT N0. 250-64 -36.5, APPLICABLE TO
PARCEL No. 11, CAUSE N0. 518, IN THE COUNTY COURT OF NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS, SAID PARCEL BEING OWNED BY CHARLES R. SOLCHER AND WIFE, DOROTHY
NOAKES SOLCHER.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION HEREINABOVE
DESCRIBED SO THAT IMMEDIATE POSSESSION MAY BE TAKEN OF THE ABOVE PARCEL
CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDI-
NANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY
TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT
THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND
THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM
AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED THIS THE
DAY OF APRIL, 1967.

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FOREGOING
ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL.
