HomeMy WebLinkAbout08432 ORD - 04/26/19674/20/67 • TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF�REQUIRED FOR CHANGE ORDER NO 1, AUTHORIZED BY THE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 19, 1967, COVERING ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION IN CONNECTION WITH THE DODDRIDGE STREET IMPROVEMENTS. PROJECT NO. 220-56-76; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $8,670, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT No. 220- 56 -76, DODDRIDGE STREET IMPROVEMENTS, AS REQUIRED FOR CHANGE ORDER N0. 1, COVERING ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESAID IMPROVEMENTS. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION AS HEREIN- ABOVE SET FORTH IN ORDER THAT THE DODDRIDGE STREET IMPROVEMENTS MAY BE COMPLETED WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCYAND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE -2ey- DAY OF APRIL, 1967- ATTEST: MAY CITY SECAETAAY THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS APPRqyED AS TO LEGAL FORM THI DAY OF APRIL, 1967: CITY ATTORNEY 8132 April 20, 1967 CERTIFY TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE MONEY REQUIRED FOR THE CONTRACT, AGREEMENT, OBLIGATION, OR EXPENDITURE CONTEMPLATED IN THE ABOVE AND FOREGOING ORDINANCE IS IN THE TREASURY OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO THE CREDIT OF N0. 220 - Street Bond Fund Project No. 220 -56 -76 $8,670 FUND FROM WHICH IT IS PROPOSED TO BE DRAWN, AND SUCH MONEY IS NOT APPROPRIATED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE. 41URE�.7TRFINANCE U +y CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS T.,.E�X.A.S� / 7 �C rSt, BAY OF_,f TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN- SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFOP.E, REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI- NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
