HomeMy WebLinkAbout08468 ORD - 05/24/19675/24/67 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $43,221, OF WHICH AMOUNT $21,577 IS FROM NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND, $1,120 IS FROM NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND AND $20,524 IS FROM NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,335 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING AND CONTINGENCIES, APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS BOND FUND PROJECTS, AS SHOWN ON THE TABULATION PRE- PARED BY THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO THE GENERAL FUND NO. 102 CURRENT FUND, IN THE AMOUNT OF $66,556 FROM FUNDS HEREBY APPROPRIATED AND PREVIOUSLY�eAPPROPRIATED AND NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, $15,000 OF WHICH IS FOR THE PERIOD OF AUGUST 1, 1966, TO JANUARY 15, 1967, AND $51,556 IS FROM JANUARY 15, 1967 TO APRIL 30, 1967; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $43,221, OF WHICH AMOUNT $21,577 IS FROM NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND, $1,120 IS FROM NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND, AND $20,5211 IS FROM NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND „FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,335 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING AND CONTINGENCIES, APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS BOND FUND PROJECTS AS SHOWN ON THE TABULATION PREPARED BY THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. THE NECESSITY TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL FUND No. 102 CURRENT FUND, IN THE AMOUNT HEREINABOVE SET OUT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED 8468 e THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE ,W(1/T DAY OF MAY, 1967.
