H. 9) TO HEREAFTER READ "FROM A POINT 220 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF HEREFORD ROAD TO A POINT 2000 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF CORN PRODUCTS ROAD, 50 MILES PER HOUR, AT ALL TIMES ", AND "FROM A POINT 2000 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF CORN PRODUCTS ROAD TO A POINT 1690 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF RAND MORGAN ROAD, 60 MILES PER HOUR, AT ALL TIMES "; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1958, AS AMENDED, BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED BY AMENDING SECTION 21 -68, AS AMENDED, AND PARTICULARLY AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE No. 7523, BY AMENDING ITEMS 4 AND 5 OF SAID ORDINANCE No. 7523, SO AS TO HEREAFTER READ AS FOLLOWS: NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT EFFECTIVE TIMES "LEOPARD STREET (S.H. 9) BOTH LANES: 4. FROM A POINT 220 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF HEREFORD ROAD TO A POINT 2,000 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF CORN PRODUCTS ROAD 50 MILES PER HOUR AT ALL TIMES 5. FROM A POINT 2,000 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF CORN PRODUCTS ROAD TO A POINT 1,690 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF RAND MORGAN ROAD 60 MILES PER HOUR AT ALL TIMES" SECTION 2. ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AIN�l'CONFLICT HEREWITH SHALL BE AND ARE HEREBY REPEALED. SECTION 3. PUBLICATION SHALL BE MADE IN THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, ONE TIME, WHICH PUBLICATION SHALL CONTAIN THE CAPTION STATING IN SUBSTANCE THE PURPOSE OF THE ORDINANCE. SECTION 4. THE NECESSITY TO IMMEDIATELY AMEND THE CITY CODE AS HEREINABOVE SET FORTH AT THE EARLIEST PRACTICABLE DATE CREATES A PUBLIC EMER- } • GENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER 8517 I RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY EXISTS, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINACE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE 6-6c DAY OF JULY, 1967.
