BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 102 UNAPPRO- PRIATED GENERAL FUNDS THE SUM OF $4,o94.50, OF WHICH AMOUNT $4,000 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 4, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, AND $94.50 IS FOR TITLE EXPENSE AND RELATED COSTS, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT No. 295- 64 -25, CARROLL LANE AND RICHTER DRAINAGE DITCH: BEING A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF LOT 7, SECTION S, BOHEMIAN COLONY LANDS AS SHOWN BY MAP OF RECORD IN VOLUME A, PAGE 48, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS MAP RECORDS AND MORE PARTICULAR- LY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS: p BEGINNING AT THE COMMON CORNER OF LOTS 1, 2, 7 AND H, SEC- TION 8, SAID BOHEMIAN COLONY LANDS FOR THE NORTHEAST AND BEGINNING CORNER OF THE TRACT HEREIN DESCRIBED; THENCE S 29000' W., WITH THE COMMON BOUNDARY LINE OF LOTS 2 AND 7, A DISTANCE OF 1320.0 FEET TO THE COMMON CORNER OF LOTS 2, 3, 6 AND 7, SAID SECTION 8, FOR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF TRACT HEREIN DESCRIBED; THENCE N. 610 31' W. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS HEREINABOVE DES- CRIBED AND TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL FOR THE CARROLL LANE AND RICHTER DRAINAGE DITCH PROJECT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN -IM- PERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMER- GENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUS- PENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE / � _DAY OF JULY, 1967.
