HomeMy WebLinkAbout08536 ORD - 07/26/1967AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF 1 OF WHICH $15,595 IS FROM NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND AND 1,478 IS FROM NO. 250 SANI- TARY SEWER BOND FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT _FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,6145 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PRE- VIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEERING AND CONTINGENCIES, APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS BOND FUND PROJECTS AS SHOWN ON THE TABULATION OF ENGINEERING COSTS PREPARED BY THE ACCOUNT- ING DIVION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO THE GENERAL FUND, NO. 102 CURRENT FUND, IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,016 FROM FUNDS HEREBY APPROPRIATED AND PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED AND NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, FOR THE PERIOD OF MAY 1. 1967 THROUGH JULY 31 1967; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $17,373, OF WHICH $15,895 IS FROM N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND AND $1,478 IS FROM N0. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND, THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,645 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGINEER- ING AND CONTINGENCIES, APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS BOND FUND PROJECTS, AS SHOWN ON THE TABULATION OF ENGINEERING COSTS PREPARED BY THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. SECTION 2. AUTHORIZATION IS HEREBY GIVEN TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL FUND N0. 102 CURRENT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,018 FROM FUNDS HEREBY APPRO- PRIATED AND PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED AND NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, FOR THE PERIOD OF MAY 1, 1967, THROUGH JULY 31, 1967. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE REIMBURSEMENT TO REFLECT SUCH EXPENDITURES AS ARE PROPERLY CHARGEABLE TO BOND FUNDS AS PROMPTLY AS POSSI- BLE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, 8536 AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, THIS THE �2GttDAY OF JULY, 1967.
