JOHN W HENNESSEY, IN -- CLUDING INTEREST ACCRUED ON JUDGMENT, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH PROJECT NO. 220 -53 -18.2, INVOLVING PARCEL 28, MID- TOWN TRAFFIC EXCHANGE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUNDS THE SUM OF $16,300.00, WHICH REPRESENTS THE ADDITIONAL SUM DUE ON JUDGMENT RENDERED IN THE COUNTY COURT IN THE CASE OF CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. JOHN W. HENNESSEY, INCLUDING INTEREST ACCURED ON JUDGMENT, ALL IN CON- NECTION WITH PROJECT No. 220 -53 -18.2, INVOLVING PARCEL 28, MIDTOWN TRAFFIC EXCHANGE. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED APPRO- PRIATION IN ORDER THAT THE CITY MAY DEPOSIT THE SUMS HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED IN ORDER TO SATISFY JUDGMENT RENDERED, INCLUDING INTEREST ACCRUED ON THE SAID JUDGMENT, CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDI- NANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE le61-6c DAY OF JULY, 1967.
