I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MAP OF THE CITY DESIGNATED AS CORPUS CHRISTI DRILLING BLOCKS, MAY 31, 19-56Tr, BY ADDING THERETO DRILLING BLOCK 1033 AS HEREINAFTER MORE FULLY DESCRIBED; PRO-- VIDING FOR PUBLICATION; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 1956 ", is hereby amended by adding thereto the area shown on the attached plat so as to establish as Drilling Block 1033 the following described area: A tract containing 40 acres of land and being the Northwest 40 acres of an 87.87 acre tract, more or less, out of the Wm. J. Robertson Survey, Nueces County, Texas, said 87.87 acre tract being the same as was set aside to Marion M. Clemmer and Jenvieve M. Holworthy in a Partition Deed dated January 16, 1943, execu- ted by Marion M. Clemmer and Jenvieve M. Holworthy, which deed is now of record in Volume 285 at Page 324 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, as said 40 acre drilling block-is shown on the attached plat. SECTION 2. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, one time, which publi- cation shall contain the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any valid provisions of this 9'1 or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 4. The necessity for immediately amending the Map of the City designated as "Corpus Christi Drilling Blocks, May 31, 195611, by adding thereto Drilling Block 1033 creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter Rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publicaj;i�o, I,T I5 ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the R ` day of } d 1968.
