AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE OFFICE OF CIVIL DEFENSE,
PROCUREMENT DIVISION, FOR THE PUBLICATION AND DISTRI-
BUTION OF TELEVISION MATERIALS AND PRINTED MATTER
PERTAINING TO CIVIL DEFENSE, A COPY OF WHICH AGREE-
MENT IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED
AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE OFFICE OF CIVIL DEFENSE, PROCUREMENT
DIVISION, FOR THE PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF TELEVISION MATERIALS AND
PRINTED MATTER PERTAINING TO CIVIL DEFENSE, A COPY OF WHICH AGREEMENT IS
ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO EXECUTE THE HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED
AGREEMENT AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT THE TERMS THEREOF -..
WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY
REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE, OR RESOLU
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY
TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND
THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND
TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE,

8. CERTIFICATION OF NONSE=GATED FACILITIES. (Applicable to contracts,
subcontracts, and agreements with applicants who are themselves performing
federally assisted construction contracts, exceeding $10,000 which are not ie

By the submission of this Sid, the bidder, offeror, applicant, or subcon-
tractor certifies that he does not maintain or provide for tis employees
