SLAVIK, BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP BY CHANGING THE ZONING ON A PORTION OF LOT 36, H. B. SHEPERD FARM LOTS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTER- SECTION OF TULOSO ROAD AND I.H. #37, IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM "R -1B" ONE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "B -11" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; KEEPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, THE ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION HAS FORWARDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL ITS REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING THE APPLICATION OF MARY C. SLAVIK FOR AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI; AND WHEREAS, PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD AT WHICH HEARING ALL PERSONS WISHING TO APPEAR AND BE HEARD WERE HEARD, TO CONSIDER THE SAME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROPER NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC, SAID PUBLIC HEARING HAVING BEEN HELD ON NOVEMBER 25, 1968, AT SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER AT CITY HALL IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; AND WHEREAS, BY MOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED AND CARRIED, IT WAS DECIDED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT TO APPROVE THE HEREINAFTER SET FORTH AMENDMENT WOULD BEST SERVE PUBLIC HEALTH, NECESSITY AND CONVENIENCE AND THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND ITS CITIZENS: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, PASSED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1937, APPEARING OF RECORD IN VOLUME 9, PAGES 565, ET SEC, OF THE ORDINANCE AND RESOLUTION RECORDS, AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME, AND IN PARTICULAR AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 61o6, AS AMENDED, BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED BY MAKING THE CHANGE HEREINAFTER SET OUT. x)1_44 � ' • -1 • SECTION 2. THAT THE ZONING ON A PORTION OF LOT 36, H. B. SHEPERD FARM LOTS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF TULOSO ROAD AND 1. H. #37, IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, BE, AND THE SAME IS HEREBY, CHANGED FROM °R -1B® ONE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO mB -4® GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, SAID PORTION OF LOT 36, BEING MORE PAR- TICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A 5/8' IRON ROD ON THE WEST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF TULOSO ROAD FOR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THIS TRACT, FROM WHICH POINT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 36 BEARS SOUTH 276.431 AND EAST 20.01; THENCE, NORTH, WITH THE WEST RIGHT OF WAY OF TULOSO ROAD DW.OI TO A TEXAS STATE HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY MARKER AT THE SOUTH CORNER OF A TRIANGULAR TRACT OF LAND DEEDED BY MARY G. KIRKHAM SLAVIK TO THE STATE OF TEXAS; THENCE N. 19° 490 3111 W., WITH THE WEST BOUNDARY OF SAID TRIANGULAR TRACT, 142.57 FEET TO A TEXAS STATE HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY MARKER FOR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID TRIANGULAR TRACT AND ALSO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE N. 81° 391 46° W., WITH THE NORTH BOUNDARY OF THE MARY G. KIRKHAM SLAVIK TRACT, 175.0 FEET FOR THE NORTH- WEST CORNER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE S. 21' 311 22' E., 175.0 FEET FOR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THIS TRACT; THENCE S. 64° 001 26® E., 175.0 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING 30,199 SQUARE FEET OR 0.693 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS. SECTION 3. THAT THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, BE, AND THE SAME IS HEREBY, AMENDED AS HEREIN ORDAINED. SECTION 4. THAT THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND MAP OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, APPROVED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1937, AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME, EXCEPT AS HEREIN CHANGED SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. SECTION 5. THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY REPEALED. SECTION 6.
