HomeMy WebLinkAbout09149 ORD - 12/04/1968AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING THE CLASS GRADE OF "INDUSTRIAL HEALTH NURSE" BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF; PROVIDING A SEVERANCE CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4, of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the class grade of the following classification: JOB CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE FROM TO 506 Industrial Health Nurse 21 23 SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any valid provision of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 3. The effective date of the above changes shall be December 4, 1968. SECTION 4. The fact that there is an immediate need to create certain new positions and a need to maintain an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordi- nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having requested the suspension of said Charter Rules, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
