AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM
OF $4,397, OF WHICH AMOUNT $4,280 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF
PARCEL NO. 18 -F, AND THE SUM OF $117 IS FOR INCIDENTAL
EXPENSES, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 22o- 67 -97, OCEAN
DRIVE - CRAIG TO ALAMEDA; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT, FOR
AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, WITH THE
OWNERS OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND, ANTONIO
CARRENO AND WIFE, CARMEN CARRENO; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE
11 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF No. 220
STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $4,397, OF WHICH AMOUNT $4,280 IS FOR ACQUISI-
TION OF PARCEL No. 18 -F, AND THE SUM OF $117 IS FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES,
APPLICABLE TO PROJECT No. 220- 67 -97, OCEAN DRIVE - CRAIG TO ALAMEDA,
SAID PARCEL OF LAND BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
A TRACT OF LAND 10 FEET IN WIDTH AND 202 FEET IN
LENGTH, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED AS BEING THE SOUTH-
WEST 10 FEET OF LOT 10, THE SOUTHWEST 10 FEET OF
THE SOUTHEAST 50 FEET OF LOT 9 AND THE SOUTHWEST
10 FEET OF THE NORTHWEST 52 FEET OF LOT 11, CLARK
PEASE BAY FRONT LOTS, AS SHOWN BY MAP OR PLAT OF
RECORD IN VOLUME 2, PAGE 33, MAP RECORDS OF NUECES
COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID TRACT OF LAND BEING PARALLEL AND
ADJACENT TO THE NORTHEAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF OCEAN
DRIVE.
SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY,
1 AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT, FOR AND ON

BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE ABOVE
DESCRIBED PARCEL FROM ANTONIO CARRENO AND WIFE, CARMEN CARRENO, THE
OWNERS.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATION DESCRIBED
ABOVE AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY INSTRUMENTS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL OF LAND SO THAT THE PROJECT
DESCRIBED HEREINABOVE MAY CONTINUE WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY
AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER
RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE
OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BEF€AD

DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED
THAT SUCH CHARTER RULE BE SUSPENDED AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED
FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL
FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, ITS IS ACCORDINGLY SO
