AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TO WILLIAM
RENFROW THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 31 AND 32,
BLOCK 11, CHAMBERLAIN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, UPON THE PAYMENT OF
THE CASH CONSIDERATION OF $2,650; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED,
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE A DEED CONVEY-
ING TO WILLIAM RENFROW THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 31 AND 32, BLOCK 11,
CHANBERLAIN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS,
FOR A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $2,650.00, A COPY OF WHICH DEED IS ATTACHED
HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO IMMEDIATELY AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION
OF A DEED IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE SALE OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL OR
TRACT OF LAND CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY
REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST,
AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND
BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY

That City of Corpus Christi, hereinafter called Grazitor, for
and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred Fifty and'
N01100 Dollars ($2,650.00), to Grantor in hand paid by William Renfrow,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,- and for which no lien is ;
retained, either expressed or implied, has 'this day sold,'and by these
presents does grant,, bargain, sell and convey unto William Renfrow, all
that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
County of Nueces, State of Texas, more particularly described as follows,
to -wit:
All that tract or parcel of kind described as ,Lots 31 and
32. Block 11, Chamberlain Addition to the•City of Corpus
Christi, Nueces County; Texas, as shown on map or plat
filed for record in the Map Records of Nueces County, .

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD 'the above described premises,herein . convey'ed,

wise beldnging,; to William Renfrow, his heirs, administrators or assigns
forever; and Grantor does hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns,
to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises herein

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
