APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND
THE SUM OF $39,000, OF WHICH $12,000 IS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF SANITARY SEWER LATERALS TO SERVE BLOCKS A, B AND C,
LAGUNA HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, PROJECT NO. 250- 67 -76; AND
$27,000 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER LATERAL
TO SERVE PORTIONS OE BLOCKS 1 AND 1A, TROPIC ISLES
SUBDIVISION, PROJECT NO. 250- 67 -77; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSE-
MENT OF 109 SEWER FUND FOR ALL AMOUNTS TO BE ADVANCED FOR
LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR THIS PROJECT FROM SAID 109 SEWER
FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 250 SANITARY
SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $39,000, OF WHICH $12,000 IS FOR CONSTRUCTING
OF SANITARY SEWER LATERALS TO SERVE BLOCKS A, B AND C, LAGUNA HEIGHTS
SUBDIVISION, PROJECT No. 25'0- 67 -76; AND $27,000 15 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
SANITARY SEWER LATERAL TO SERVE PORTIONS OF BLOCKS 1 AND 1A, TROPIC ISLES

.SECTION 2. THAT REIMBURSEMENT OF 109 SEWER FUND FOR ALL
AMOUNTS TO BE ADVANCED FOR LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR THE AFORESAID PROJECTS,
NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED, IS AUTHORIZED TO BE MADE OUT OF THE SUMS HEREBY
APPROPRIATED.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO REIMBURSE THE N0. 109 SEWER FUND
IN THE AMOUNT HEREINABOVE SET OUT CREATES A-PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERA-
TIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT
NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON.THE DATE OF ITS
INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE
SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH
EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID
CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF
ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM
AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE
DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1969.

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of.the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
