Box 1622 C \Oz''' Corpus Christi, Texas 78403 r Re: Relocation of Portion of r 42j1 Water Line in Holly Road Dear Mr. Lontos: The Texas Highway Department has advised that a portion (ap- proximately 900 feet) of the 42" Holly Road water line in Padre Island Drive (State Highway 358) will need to be relocated and the existing line removed. Our preliminary estimate for the construction cost of this relocation work is $61, 400. 00. -This work, together with the relocation of the 48" water line crossing Padre Island Drive, all ties into the construction of the new 4211 water line in Padre Island Drive. For this reason we propose that it all be included in-the same construction contract. We also propose that our engineering contract dated November 20, 1967, be amended to include the relocation of approximately 900 feet of 4211 water line in Padre Island Drive south of its connection with the 4811 water line. The engineering fee for this work to be based on the construction cost of the total construction contract in accordance with the original contract. With the endorsement by the City of this proposal, we will consider our contract amended accordingly, and will proceed with the additional work. Respectfully submitted, REAGANN & McCAUGHAN Y f" F. A.
